BEACON OF HOPE
Beacon of Hope Uganda (BoHU) designs and conducts programs which contribute to the welfare and social productivity of disadvantaged individuals and communities with an emphasis on children and youth. BoHU addresses some of the most pervasive problems in rural Uganda, including HIV/AIDS, malaria, hunger, education, poverty, access to clean drinking water, and orphaned children. In 2015, we addressed BoHU’s strategic plan, communications strategy, financial sustainability and human resources strategy. Click here to visit BoHU’s website.
YOUTH INITIATIVE FOR COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT
An organization in rural Mubende District, Uganda focused on reducing the vulnerability of marginalized groups including widows, unemployed youth, and people affected by HIV/AIDS. The organization enjoys excellent community support and participation. In 2013, we assisted YICE’s leadership to focus its long-term vision and integrate its current activities. DREAM ACHIEVERS YOUTH ORGANIZATION (DAYO)
DAYO is a youth led organization that registered as CBO by a group of young volunteers who wanted to mitigate challenges among young people through community theatre as a participatory strategy of disseminating, educating and informing the community on issues of improvement on Health, Education, Livelihood and Social justice to children and young people.
